Take a close look at the edge of this carbide insert and you’ll realize it’s not actually square. Instead, each of its four edges is slightly crowned with a 2” radius. This subtle change makes the cutter excellent for smoothing cuts. Use it with the corresponding Rockler Full-Size Ergonomic Carbide Turning Tool (48535, sold separately). No sharpening required—just rotate to a new edge when the previous edge gets dull, and replace the cutter when needed.
