The Mittler Bros. Retaining Collars are a set of two precision-machined collars used with the Mittler Bros. rear-end narrowing kit. They lock the inner lineup pucks in position on the 1-1/2″ jig shaft during the narrowing process — keeping the pucks firmly seated in the housing bearing bores while the housing ends are being installed, welded, and aligned.
A small but essential component of the narrowing system — without secure retaining collars, the pucks can shift on the shaft during the installation process, compromising the alignment of the housing ends. Available here separately for replacements or as a spare set. Made in the USA.
