The Mittler Bros. 1-1/2″ AC-35 Aircraft Punch & Flare Tool creates a smooth, lightweight hole with a low-profile flare in one easy step — engineered specifically for thin-gauge aircraft sheet metal. Simply drill a small pilot hole for the draw bolt, apply the tool to the metal, and tighten the bolt to create the punched and flared hole in a single operation.
Built to a 35° straight angle with a 1/8″ leg length, this aircraft-style flare is specifically designed to eliminate cracking around the flare on thin aluminum — a common problem with standard automotive-style flare tools when used on aircraft-gauge material. Recommended for .020″–.040″ aluminum and mild steel applications. Works great in the Mittler Bros. 3, 5, or 10-ton Bench Press (sold separately) with no drilling needed for even faster production. Can also be used as a hole punch only by removing the female flare ring and using the punch and die. Precision machined from heat-treated steel for years of use. Made in the USA.
