The Mittler Bros. 72″ Jig Shaft is a turned, ground, and polished 1-1/2″ diameter precision steel shaft used as the lineup bar in rear-end narrowing applications. Passed through the trimmed rear-end housing and inner bearing blocks, it ensures accurate, square, and true reinstallation of the housing ends after narrowing.
This is the 72″ shaft — the longer of the two available lengths — and is included in the Mittler Bros. Rear-End Narrowing Kit with 72″ Shaft (1000-RENK1-72). It is also sold separately here as a standalone replacement or upgrade for builders who need the extra length for wider rear-end applications. Made in the USA.
