A powerful 8-power glasslens, 5 inches in diameter, is illuminated with 100 LED lights covered in amatte finish, so there is no glare. And there is a 16-power spot lens to seethose tiny splinters that escape the unaided eye. The splinters will not be ableto hide. Below is a finger with a 1/8” circle drawn onto the skin. The middleimage shows what you see under the 8X lens, and on the right, the 16X lens.
Supported on a ridgedreticulated support where, when compressed, the distance from the center poleto the center of the magnifying lens is 8”, and when extended, the center ofthe magnifying lens is a full 26”.
To power up the lamp, youhave a multi-control power switch on the power cord. After turning on thepower, you can vary the light intensity for ten levels, from full power down toa minimum light level. Plus, you have three lighting modes, from standard whiteto soft blue, followed by a slight amber color. These hues mimic the variousled lights found in the home, so you can make sure the color you’re workingwith will work in any room of the house.
The support clamp can grip down on a flatsurface from ¼” up to 2-1/4” in thickness
And one surprise extra, this canrun on batteries. The lights are USB powered. So you can either plug this intothe USB charger that comes with it or plug it into a USB battery bank (remotephone charger) if you’re not near a power source.
