If you’ve been dealing with rough starts, inconsistent timing, or worn-out points and condensers in your older John Deere, you know how frustrating it can be when your tractor won’t fire up reliably. This electronic ignition conversion kit takes the guesswork out of ignition timing and gives you the dependable starts you need to get work done.
What You’re Getting
- Electronic module that completely replaces troublesome points and condensers
- Precise ignition timing that stays consistent in all weather conditions
- No more adjusting points gaps or replacing worn contacts every season
- Direct fit for Delco distributors commonly found on 2-cylinder John Deere tractors
- Works specifically with 6-volt positive ground electrical systems
Built for Older John Deere Workhorses
This kit is designed for 2-cylinder John Deere tractors running 6-volt positive ground systems—those reliable workhorses from the era when tractors were built to last decades. Whether you’re using your tractor for loader work, mowing, or general farm duties, this conversion helps ensure your engine fires up consistently every time you turn the key.
Made to Last
The electronic module handles the temperature swings and vibration that come with tractor work much better than mechanical points ever could. Once installed, you’ll get years of trouble-free ignition performance without the seasonal maintenance that points and condensers require.
Good to Know
This is a direct replacement that works with your existing distributor—no modifications needed. Make sure your tractor has a 6-volt positive ground system before ordering, as this kit won’t work with negative ground or 12-volt systems. Installation typically takes about an hour and requires basic hand tools.
