The Mittler Bros. 2-1/2″ Triangle Forming Die Set creates a clean, embossed triangular dome in sheet metal — adding both strength and visual interest without punching through the material. Unlike a punch & flare tool, the forming die displaces and forms the metal in place, leaving a smooth raised boss on one side and a recessed circle on the other. A simple, fast way to stiffen panels and add a professional fabricated look.
Includes both the male and female dies. The formed dimension is approximately 3/8″ larger than the listed size — a 2-1/2″ die produces an embossed triangular form approximately 2-7/8″ in diameter. Rated for 16 gauge mild steel, 14 gauge aluminum, and 19 gauge stainless steel. Works best in the Mittler Bros. bench press. Bench/Louver Press sold separately.
