The Mittler Bros. 1-1/4″ Dimple Die flanges or flares an existing hole in sheet metal to create a pronounced dimple for improved strength and appearance. Unlike a standard flare tool, a dimple die forms a more aggressive 45° flanged collar around the hole — stiffening the panel significantly and giving it the distinctive dimpled look popular in off-road, race car, and custom fabrication work.
Works on mild steel up to .125″ thick, 4130 chrome-moly, and aluminum. The 45° dimple angle is purposefully more aggressive than competing dimple dies — designed specifically based on feedback from off-road fabricators who wanted a sharper, more pronounced dimple.
